Wulei Mountain, 424 meters high, is distinctive for its tranquil environment, picturesque peaks and ancient trees. In the mountain are dozens of attractive landscapes, and at the foot of the mountain is the vast Duhu Lake. On the lake there is the Village of the Dus, home of Yu Shinan the famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty.

Wulei Temple

Known as No 1 Ancient Temple in east Zhejiang, this 1000-year-old temple has experienced repeated renovations. In about 1400 in the Ming Dynasty, the temple was renamed its present name Wulei Temple. In 1911, it became the temple of Tiantai Sect of Buddhism, the oldest one in Ningbo Area.
